Niall Horan, aka the charming crooner/prized Irishman formerly of One Direction, has finally answered my prayers and is back with new music. It's been almost two years since the release of his debut album, Flicker, and he's clearly better than ever with his new song, "Nice To Meet Ya". In addition to this song that I'll definitely be playing on repeat for the foreseeable future, he's filmed a music video for it (filled with Easter eggs about his new album) that I can only describe as him intentionally trying to send me over the edge with his talent and good looks. In order to help catch you up on Niall's new music and to also process my own emotions about it, here's a recap of "Nice To Meet Ya": It's so crazy how Niall decided to start the music video in a white tank and perfect hair without expecting me to freak out. Oh my god, he broke the fourth wall. Also, I love how you can perfectly understand what he's saying but they were still like, "His accent is thicc, better use subtitles just to be safe." Niall said no this isn't a music video it's a short film, can I help you? Ok, I don't know what looks better, Niall or his house. Me when Niall starts listing all the things he likes about the girl he's singing to (me): Here we have Easter egg #1 - "Small Talk" - of potential song titles from the full album and also an actress who's living the dream. I'm sorry, when did Niall get an earring and why did no one tell me? Here we have a blurry but goody of Easter egg #2 - "Still" - as in I'm still waiting for Niall to follow me back on Twitter. Same, random lady on the street... same. Me when Niall starts singing in French: Here we have Easter egg #3 - "Heartbreak Weather" - and also Niall for some reason putting on sunglasses as it starts to rain. Niall singing this song in the pouring rain was clearly pulled from my how-to-be-dramatic handbook. Here we have Easter egg #4 - "No Judgement" - as in I have no judgement against you if you don't listen to Niall's music, except that you have no taste. I can't believe Niall invented being confident while looking in the mirror and also the color brown. Me every time Niall looks into the camera and sings, "Nice to meet ya, what's your name?": SOMETHING I DEFINITELY DIDN'T NEED WAS NIALL WALKING OUT OF A CLOUD OF SMOKE WITH FOUR OTHER GUYS JUST TO GIVE ME FLASHBACKS OF ONE DIRECTION: Niall doing the "After you" gesture made me swoon and I want you all to notice it, too. I wonder what life would be like with the kind of luck that allows you to randomly meet Niall Horan at a bar. The editors didn't have to go so hard here when they faded out the song so we could hear Niall say, "Cheers, boys" in his Irish accent, but they did that... they did that for us. I can't believe the girl dipped and was just like call me beep me if you wanna reach me. Well, unfortunately for me, that's the end of the music video so I guess I'm just going to keep watching it on repeat until YouTube tells me to get a life. (All screenshots of this music video belong to whoever owns the rights. Also, instead of suing me you should just consider dating me @Niall)
